The Rocky Mountain Ski Joring series his Minturn this weekend. Ski joring is a timed sport where skiers are pulled by horses along a flat, snowy course. Along the way they hit jumps, clear gates and attempt to snag hanging rings off a perch. A missed jump, gate or ring results in a time deduction.

Ski joring is one of the most spectator friendly activities and only visits the Vail Valley once per year. Kids love all the action with horses nearby and jumps being hit. Here's a video put together by Rocky Mountain Ski Joring which shows what this fun filled activity is all about.
