The Eagle Outside Festival will take place June 3-6, 2016, in the lovely little town 30 minutes west of Vail called Eagle, one of Colorado's freshest new mountain bike destinations. The festival features a free consumer demo where cycling's most exciting brands will be on display, live music including the Dirty Dozen Brass Band at the Bonfire Block Party, mountain biking clinics for women and kids, the ChroMoly Chef Frankenbike competition, a 5K run/walk, a free kids fishing derby and a host of other activities.

This year, the festival's Firebird Cross Country and LoFi Super D races, (both presented by Niner Bikes) have been designated by USA Cycling as State Championships for Colorado. On June 4th and 5th Colorado's finest endurance and gravity riders will get an immersive tour of Eagle's amazing backcountry trail network while offering them an opportunity to add "Colorado State Champion" to the palmares section of their race resumes.

"USAC's state championship designation is a double, possibly triple bonus for Eagle," said event organizer Mike McCormack of Uncommon Communications. "With USAC's help, we're able to add an additional layer of prestige to what's already become one of Colorado's best festivals."

USA Cycling CEO Derek Bouchard-Hall said the association of the Eagle Outside Festival and the Colorado State Championships will result in a top-notch weekend of racing and celebration.

"We also view this partnership as both a powerful endorsement," he said, "and an acknowledgement that USA Cycling has made strides in our commitment to better serve the mountain biking community, and for that we are grateful."
