Two full days of Bavarian fun are planned for this weekend in Beaver Creek to celebrate the 18th Annual Beaver Creek Oktoberfest, September 2-3, 2017. The celebration kicks off on Saturday at 11 a.m. with a beer garden, authentic Bavarian food, Kids’ Fun Zone and live music from Trachtenkapelle out of Lech- Zürs, Austria. The event hosts live musical acts throughout the day, a Bavarian costume contest and a 5K, 10K and Family Fun 1K race on Sunday. The beer garden and live music events are free to enter and will be a foot stompin’ oom-pah-pah musical good time. Beaver Creek Oktoberfest is presented in partnership with Spaten Beer.

Two of the finest mountain golf courses are slated to open at the onset of May. Guests can begin enjoying awe-inspiring alpine backdrops, impeccably-maintained greens and fairways, opulent fine-dining establishments and first-class guest service starting on Friday, May 5, at Beaver Creek Golf Club, and Friday, May 12, at Red Sky Ranch & Golf Club.
“Upgrading this essential beginner lift will provide high-speed lift access to the amazing beginner and intermediate terrain at the top of Beaver Creek, increasing capacity and making for a seamless lift experience for our guests on the hill,” said Beth Howard, chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort. “We expect this improvement to take significant volume off Cinch Express, Beaver Creek’s second most-popular lift, and it really is an improvement befitting of Beaver Creek’s luxury, family experience, as it enhances a key beginner and family area of our mountain.”

The Vail Recreation District's Athletic Club at the Westin Mountain Bike Race Series will wrap up the summer season of racing on Wednesday, August 24 with the Beaver Creek Blast. The Beaver Creek Blast is the final race of the seven-race series, which is presented by Athletic Club at the Westin, East West Destination Hospitality, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and The Dusty Boot.
