Vail, Beaver Creek get 2 feet of fresh snow, open China Bowl and Rose Bowl

Posted by Polina LaConte on Dec 11, 2016 3:11:36 AM

Vail is now up to more than 2,600 skiable acres, which is the most open terrain in Colorado by far. Vail received 2 feet of new snow this week and Orient Express (#21) and Teacup Express (#36). The resort also opened Riva Bahn Express (#6) and Highline Express (#10), and the famous Two Elk restaurant is also open now providing additional dining options for guests.

With 2 feet of new snow in the last week it doesn't look like it's going to let up, either! The Colorado forecast is calling for consistent snowfall until Dec. 18.

Avanti Express (#2)
Wildwood Express (#3)
Mountaintop Express (#4)
High Noon Express (#5)
Riva Bahn Express (#6)
Game Creek Express (#7)
Born Free Express (#8)
Sun Up Express (#9)
Highline Express (#10)
Northwoods Express (#11)
Sourdough Express (#14)

Teacup Express (#36)

Over in Beaver Creek, the resort began operating the Rose Bowl Express Lift (#4), the Strawberry Park Express Lift (#12), Riverfront Express Gondola (#7), Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (#18), and Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (#15). Downloading is available on Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (#15) to access The Landing, shuttle system, and parking lots. The additional terrain opening associated with these lifts will provide skiing access between Beaver Creek Village and Bachelor Gulch and will provide guests with more than 600 skiable acres of terrain.
